Thank you for your interest in joining the Canine Corner. While we don't have many rules, as a growing community it is necessary to have a few. Please read them carefully before regeristing in our forums. RULES: Respect others: remember that all members are welcome regardless of their history elsewhere on the internet and should be treated with respect. Any confrontation that cannot be resolved quietly or publicly degrading another member will not be tolerated and will result in banning of your membership. We are trying to keep a happy online family for everyone. Treat others how you would like to be treated. If you are having problems with others in the forum, please do not make it a problem for the entire group. E-mail or pm an admin and we will get back to you as soon as we can and try to resolve the problem. Appropriate content: Please try to keep your posts on topic in the forums provided. If your post is deemed to be out of place, it will be moved by our staff. If you have information that you would like to share with everyone on the board, that's great. But if you got it from a website or a book and choose to copy it here word for word, please make sure you add a link to the site you got it from and put credits to the site and or book. Give credit where credit is due. Some sites do have it posted on the bottom of their pages to request the use of their information. PLEASE DO! *YOU POST IT-YOUR RESPONSIBLE* Canine Corner will NOT be responsible for your mistake. If there is something you would like to share with the group and are unsure of the consequences in doing so, ask one of the staff before posting. We would like to avoid copyright issues. Private messaging: Is here for your benefit. Please use this feature to work out issues that aren't appropriate for the public message boards. Mods may remind users in threads to take their issue to private messaging (pm's). Spamming: Our forum, member list, and private messaging is not to be used to advertise your personal agenda. Please understand that our administration understands the definition of spam and will take action when necessary. Unfortunately I guess this needs to have more clarification. The website link in your profile is NOT to be used to advertise another forum. It may be used to link to your personal website, blog, etc. but not competing forums. Banishment: We highly discourage the idea of banishment and would hate to impose that punishment on any member, we reserve the right to banish a member when all other options have been exhausted. Also, if there have been no posts made by you within 30 days, your account will be deleted. If for any reason you are not going to be able to post for a certain amount of time (vacations, hospital, personal matters). Please notify any one of the staff about your situation so that your account will not be deleted. There is a difference between deleted and banned. If you are deleted and would like to rejoin at a later time, you may do so. ADVICE: Try to solve your own issue before involving the staff. We are very happy to assist you if you've already tried other avenues. With a growing forum, we are trying to keep the quality high while keeping the staff level low, thus preserving our "Homey" atmosphere. If your issue is technical, please check the faq and then contact one of the administrators. If your issue is with a specific user, thread or message, please try to resolve the issue with the other user(s) before contacting a staff member. Think before you post. Is your post going to say something interesting, offer insight, support, or humor? Or is your post just a smiley face, just one or two words, or just plain childish? Feel free to post (nearly) anything you like, but please try to post what you would like to read yourself if it were posted by another member. Signatures are provided for your creativity and expressiveness, however, please remember that some members have difficulty loading large images or scrolling through posts where the signature is longer than their monitor can cover. A picture in a Signature should be no more that 500 pixels wide. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Any further questions may be directed to one of the staff members. -Admin.
