I know that training is very subjective, personal, and at times controversial. I like Cesar Millans training methods that first caught my eye on his television series "Dog Whisperer". It was an eye opening experience and sort of a spiritual awakening to how we think verses how our animals think. I went out and bought both the books, Cesar's Way, and Be the Pack Leader, I also downloaded every TV show episodes on my iphone and studied them. The methods were simple, direct and the results were positive. Even though I understand the book, and have learned his methods, doesn't mean that others who read or view the series will "get it". I've given his books out, and recommended people to watch the series, but when people treat animals like people, I think Cesar is right to say "it can actually harm them" in many circumstances. It works for me, but it may not work for you...thats my personal opinion.

I watch him all the time. New episodes on Fridays at 8pm Eastern time. I do alot of things the way he does. I personally think he is great. There are a few things I disagree with but over all I think he has it right. I am a member on his sites and have him on my myspace. However, I would rather see people treating their dogs like a human than abusing, neglecting etc.

we don't get his show in the Midwest, I watched him all the time when I lived in California. What channel do you watch him on? I agree that he does have it right, and he has taught many professional dog trainers a thing or two also. Love his show.
